Honedoara “Michel Klein” Stadium — Exterior

Project description — Honedoara “Michel Klein” Stadium
Urban Futurism | Public Architecture | Exterior

This stadium restyling project reimagines the historic Honedoara “Michel Klein” sports venue with a contemporary, futuristic architectural identity. The concept respects the existing structure while introducing a new, recognisable landmark for the city.

The façade envelope is shaped using light concrete, metal, glass and polymer elements, forming a visually light and dynamic skin. Horizontal rhythms and illuminated bands emphasise the stadium’s geometry, giving it a modern, technological presence both by day and at night.

The stadium is integrated into the urban landscape through open plazas, pedestrian routes and architectural lighting that create a comfortable public realm around the building. The visualisation communicates scale, event atmosphere and the relationship between the architecture and its surroundings — presenting the stadium as a new city attraction point.
